William Torres Sr. Accepts Position as Global and Local Outreach Pastor
We’re excited to welcome William Torres to our staff as our next Global and Local Outreach Pastor at Worship Center! He will officially begin his role on Sunday, November 6.
Last month, we announced that Chris Lautsbaugh, our Global and Local Outreach Pastor, felt led to step down from his role so that he could focus on pursuing more teaching opportunities. After Chris decided to step out of this role, Worship Center’s leadership started praying about who God might be preparing to take on this significant position. We felt it best to consider those who already know the heart and vision of outreach and missions at Worship Center. After conversations, interviews, and considerations, it soon became apparent that William Torres is the best person for this role.
William comes to our pastoral staff with many years of experience. He and his wife, Betsy, our Small Groups Pastor, have been part of our church family for six years. William serves on the missions team with Chris and desires to provide pastoral ministry with an emphasis on outreach and missions. He has over a decade of experience as a licensed pastor and will be an incredible asset to our team and church family. William has a genuine heart to see Worship Center effectively bring the Gospel to our community and the world.
On Sunday, October 23, we will honor and pray for Chris and Lindsay Lautsbaugh in both services. Through November 15, Chris will work a flexible schedule, focusing on passing the mantle to William. We’re so grateful for Chris’s faithful years of service, and we’re cheering him and Lindsey on as he steps into what God has next for him. Please continue to encourage William, Betsy, Chris, and Lindsey, and pray for this transition in leadership.
