How To Help Those Impacted by Hurricane Helene
Hurricane Helene has caused devastation throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. We are saddened by the destruction and loss of life so many have experienced. Many people are asking how can we help, and what is Worship Center doing?
Worship Center is collecting funds to go towards Samaritan’s Purse and Christ in Action. If you would like to give towards hurricane relief efforts, click here and select “Hurricane Helene Relief” from the drop-down menu.
You can also text to give with the keyword “Helene” to 717-925-7288.
If you’re interested in going to physically help, Samaritan’s Purse is sending teams of 2 – 15 people to different locations effected by the hurricane and flooding. Check out the Samaritan’s Purse website for locations and directions on how to sign up and get involved where needed most.
In the past, WC has partnered with Christ in Action as they come alongside those in need following natural disasters. At the time of this article, Christ in Action is assessing the damage and determining where they will be responding, however they don’t have response teams set up. If you would like to receive updates from CIA as they plan, click here.
Worship Center will be updating eNews in the coming weeks on how we can help those affected. (Click here to subscribe to eNews, our weekly email newsletter.)
If you have any questions, contact WC’s Disaster Relief Coordinator, Dustin Mosher, or our Outreach Assistant Lisa Weaver.
Please join us in praying for those affected by this tragedy. There are many in need of Jesus and spiritual healing and so many times we have seen that a catastrophe can bring them running to Jesus and the cross!
