As many of you are aware, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, causing widespread destruction and loss of life. Cities like Sagaing and Mandalay have been severely affected, with over 2,000 fatalities and thousands more injured. The disaster has left countless individuals without shelter, food, or clean water, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation.

Our Global Partners, Dam & Niang Mung, who have established churches in Myanmar, have been directly impacted by this catastrophe. Their families and congregations are facing immense challenges as they navigate the aftermath of the earthquake. In response, our Global Partners are actively providing essential supplies such as water, food, basic necessities to those in need.

Additionally, we are collaborating with Chazak Rescue, an organization dedicated to deploying professional first responder teams into crisis zones worldwide. Chazak Rescue is currently mobilizing cadets to assist in humanitarian aid and rescue operations in Myanmar and Thailand, bringing hope and relief to affected communities.

We invite you, our church family, to join us in supporting these critical efforts. Here’s how you can help:

1. Financial Contributions: Your donations will directly aid relief operations, providing much-needed resources to those impacted by the earthquake. Please consider giving through our church’s designated fund for Myanmar relief by clicking the button below.

2. Prayer Support: Lift up Dam & Niang Mung, their families, and congregations in your prayers. Pray for strength, comfort, and resilience as they rebuild their lives and communities. Additionally, keep the teams from our Global Partners and Chazak Rescue in your prayers, asking for their safety and effectiveness in their relief endeavors.

3. Stay Informed: Understanding the situation enables us to respond compassionately and effectively. Stay updated on the developments in Myanmar and the progress of relief efforts through reliable news sources and our church communications.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2

In times of such overwhelming need, our collective action can make a significant difference. Let us come together as a community of faith to support our brothers and sisters in Myanmar, demonstrating the love and compassion that Christ calls us to embody.

With heartfelt gratitude and prayers,

Pastor William
