High School Summer Camp
July 21 - 25
Converge High School is going to Summer Camp!
From July 21-25, we will be heading to Massachusetts to experience Hume New England! Hume New England provides an incredible opportunity to get away from the busyness and distractions that young people face on a daily basis and make memories at camp.
When you come to Hume New England, not only will you engage in high-energy recreation and activities, but you will experience God through chapel sessions, worship, small group breakouts, and spending time in His creation. If you allow Him, the Lord can use a week at Hume New England to change your life forever.
High School Camp is for students entering into grades 9-12 in the fall of 2025. If your child is entering grades 7 & 8 in the fall of 2025, please check out the Middle School Summer Camp page; linked HERE.

Is there a theme?
Each year Hume creatively tells a Bible story with using a theme. This year’s camp is called “Allvaldr”, where the programming staff will be sharing the story of Joseph through a Viking theme. We will learn that even in the trials and difficulties of life, we can trust in the sovereignty and providence of God.
Who is the speaker?
The speaker for the week is Erik Thoennes. Erik is professor and department chair of biblical and theological studies at Biola University and a pastor at Grace Evangelical Free Church in La Mirada, California.
What is Recreation and Super Spirit Day?
Throughout the week, recreation teams are awarded points, but on Super Spirit Day, themed costumes multiply the points to give your team the chance to win! All campers receive a free rec shirt, but only the winning team gets the coveted “Champion” shirt. This year’s theme is vikings, so we high encourage you bring any viking hats, face paint, etc. for this day.
Medication?
All medications, prescriptions, and over-the-counter drugs must be brought in the original bottle to the retreat nurse at check-in at departure.
What do I pack?
Bible, notebook, pen, flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, deodorant, towel, shower shoes, warm and cool clothes, jacket and spending money.
What not to bring?
Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, firearms, knives, matches, lighters, headphones, axe body spray, headphones.
Is there a dress code?
Hume does have a dress code. Please do not pack spaghetti straps, strapless or halter tops, sagging pants or shorts which expose undergarments, spandex shorts, clothing that exposes bare midriffs, or short shorts/skirts/dresses. When wearing leggings, please tie a shirt, flannel or sweatshirt around your waist.
What about swimsuits?
One-piece suits are required. No speedos, tankinis or high-cut bathing suits. We ask that all guests remain fully clothed, except when wearing bathing suits while in and around the waterfront or pool areas.
What’s up with electronics?
Since the bus ride is a longer one, we do allow cell phones on the bus to and from summer camp. Once we arrive at camp, leaders will collect phones and put them into a safe for the week. We do not allow headphones on the bus. If you want to take photos, we encourage you to bring a disposable camera or find our photographers throughout the week!
I’m not sure if I can afford the cost for summer camp – what are my options?
We don’t want finances to stand in the way of your son/daughter coming to summer camp! We have payment plans and scholarships available based upon need. Click the link below for the financial aid application.
Can my son/daughter request to be in a cabin with specific friends and/or leaders?
Yes! There is space on the registration form for friend and leader requests. We will do our very best to assure each student gets at least one of their requests.
Who are the adult leaders? Can parents come as leaders?
Our leaders are all adult volunteers who have gone through the extensive Worship Center Student Ministries volunteer onboarding process, which includes an FBI background check, fingerprinting, staff interview, orientation, and training. Anyone interested in coming as a leader can contact Cooper at cooperm@worshipcenter.org.
